Nestled in the heart of Philadelphia at 2401 Pennsylvania Ave, Little Pete's stands out as a classic diner that masterfully blends hearty American fare with a welcoming neighborhood vibe. This unpretentious eatery greets guests with a menu that reads like a love letter to comfort food-each dish crafted with sincerity and care, reflecting both tradition and quality.
What strikes you first at Little Pete's is the generous portions coupled with remarkably fair prices. The New York Strip and Sirloin Steak, served with crispy onion rings, come through tender and flavorful, striking just the right balance between richness and seasoning. For those craving homestyle classics, the Chicken Parmigiana paired with spaghetti delivers a nostalgic embrace of Italian-American cuisine, while the fresh baby beef liver, whether served with fried onions or crispy fries, offers a bold, old-school taste that’s increasingly rare to find these days.
The double-decker clubs are a highlight, stacked high with fresh-sliced turkey or corned beef, complemented perfectly by crisp bacon, lettuce, and tomato-a testament to Little Pete's commitment to quality ingredients and satisfying textures. Cold deli platters brim with selections like shrimp salad, chicken salad, and imported boiled ham, making them an ideal choice for a lighter, yet still substantial, meal.
The attentiveness of the staff enhances the experience-Kathy’s personable service and Pete’s evident dedication set a warm, fast-paced rhythm that ensures diners feel both welcomed and well cared for. This human touch transforms a simple meal into a memorable outing. The outdoor seating area for brunch adds another layer to the charm, allowing patrons to savor hearty mushroom and provolone omelettes alongside perfectly cooked potatoes in a relaxed atmosphere.
Cleanliness and efficiency underpin every visit at Little Pete's, from the spotless restrooms to the quick turnaround of orders, ensuring that even busy days offer comfort and satisfaction. Whether you're stopping by for a quick pizza, a juicy burger with crisp fries, or a full dinner with stuffing and cranberry sauce, Little Pete's promises a flavorful journey rooted in authenticity and good value.

Definitely a delicious place to eat at. They had a good lunch special for $16. It includes meal, soup and drink. Kathy was very personable and attentive to our needs. Would definitely eat here again. Her customers love her!

Super great people, sat me down right away. Fast service, food took about 10 min to come. Everything was fresh and hot! Loved the burger, its incredibly good, fries as well. If your visiting Philly defiantly come back, food is relatively cheap at about $15 a plate. Super clean and bathrooms in the back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

For a Saturday brunch, We ordered two omelettes—mine was filled with mushrooms and provolone cheese. The potatoes were excellent, and the portions were quite generous—I couldn’t finish my entire plate. The outdoor seating created an amazing atmosphere.

Loved this experience!!! Pete was there and he was hustling. His devotion to the restaurant was obvious. And set the tone for everyone else who was serving service was outstanding what should’ve been an awful weight due to the love half marathon was actually just a few minutes. The food was terrific and plentiful and prices were fair.

Great local spot, always seems busy. I’ve ordered a few times their chicken Caesar wrap meal which is great value at $16. This includes a sizeable wrap, fries, fountain drink and chicken soup! Need to try out their other food and eat in. Nice homely vibes.

Portions were massive, warm and delicious. We gor the cheese steaks, of course, french onion soup and a few kids meals. Even the kids portions were absolutely giant. The cheese steaks did not disappoint and even the soup was excellent, thick and warm covered in real cheese. Price wise, very low foe the quantity and quality. Was a 15 minute walk from the art museum and located in a gorgeous little area that was breathtaking at sunset. We paid less than $80 for 5 people.

Great old family owned Philly restaurant with welcoming, friendly staff. Ordered an Italian hoagie ( generous proportions & perfectly made to order ) onion rings ( crispy & hot ) & the strawberry milkshake was to die for!!! A straight up old school nothing but pure ice cream with CHUNKS of real strawberries in it!! My new favorite local Fairmount lunch/take out spot!
